Alpha Test House, Delhi National Capital Region(NCR), Haryana, India has ventured into the new horizon of testing areas by further expanding its existing test facilities of Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental and related disciplines. Under the Electrical Disciplines, the latest commissioned test facilities among Large Appliances in Consumer Durable White Goods covers Domestic Refrigerators (IS 17550 Part-1,2 & 3, IS 1476, IS 15750), Commercial Refrigerators(IS 1474), Deep Freezers(IS 7872),Auto Ice Makers (IS 11328), Bottled Water Dispensers (IS 17681), Bottled/Beverage/VISI Coolers(IS 2167), Refrigerating Display Cabinets (IS 16672), Heat Exchangers(IS 11329), Non-electric Cooling Cabinets(IS 17693). This category also covers Washing Machines (IEC 60456 & IS 14155), Dish Washers (IEC 60436), Microwave Ovens (IS 302-2-25, IEC 60705) Dessert Coolers (IS 3315), Cooker Hoods/Electric Chimneys/Cooking Fumes Extractors (IEC 61591).

Among the small appliances the products covered are Ceiling Fans (IS 374/IS 302-2-80), Table/Pedestal Wall mounted Fans (IS 555 & IS 1169), Propeller type Ventilating/Exhaust Fans(IS 2312), Electric Rice Cookers (IS 302-2-15), Induction Cook tops/Stoves (IS 19014/ IS 302-2-6), Vacuum Cleaners & Water Suction (IS 302-2-2). Electricity operated domestic Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems have been also been included in the new scope of testing.

The Refrigerating Appliances test facility has SIX platforms for parallel testing & equipped with state-of-the-art set-up covering highly advanced Data Acquisition & Control System, Power management systems etc having sophisticated sensors & digital metering to maintain and Record Heating, Cooling & Humidity conditions very precisely as required as per latest world & domestic standards. Washing Machines has 15 platforms and can test simultaneously for faster but accurate and reliable test results as per International & Nnational standards.

This operational test facility covers Direct Cool & Frost Free (No Frost) Refrigerators, Fully Automatic & Semi-automatic Washing Machines covering Front Loading & Top-loading types. The performance tests of these large appliances also includes requirements of Energy Efficiency Labelling/Rating of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), GoI under Standards & Labeling Program of India.
